NUTRITIONIST’S CHOICE
APPLE CIDER VINEGAR is anti microbial which means it can kill or slow the spread of microorganisms such as bacteria, viruses, protozoans, and fungi such as mold and mildew. ACV also supports digestion, aids in weight loss and can help lower blood sugar.
AMLA BERRY POWDER is vitamin C a small tarte like fruit packed with vitamin C, fiber and nutrients that support healthy hair and skin. This adds a citrus like taste to your smoothies and parfaits while the vitamin C supports the immune system, energy, metabolism and collagen production. Making this the perfect ingredient for the Beauty C parfait!
BELL POLLEN Many vegans don’t use honey or any bee products as they come from an animal. However, it is a personal choice and one I’ve chosen to include in my plant based diet. Sourced locally, ethically and organically, bee pollen offers a ton of benefits such as supporting our immune system, relieving inflammation, boosting liver function, and working as an antioxidant in our bodies. Slightly crunchy with a subtle sweet taste, it is the perfect parfait topper.
CHIA SEEDS pack a lot of power for their size. High in fibre, unsaturated fat, protein, calcium and zinc, they are a fantastic addition to anyone’s diet. Because of their gelatin like texture after being soaked in liquid, chia pudding aids in digestion and weight loss keeping those who enjoy it full and satiated!
HEMP SEEDS Many healthy fats we consume are high in either omega 3’s or 6’s. It can be rare to find a food that’s high in both. These types of fats are important for the health of our bodies and brains
Hemp seeds are also high in protein for their size and can be enjoyed in multiple ways. I love sprinkling hemp seeds on my soups, salads, stir frys, smoothie bowls and especially this breakfast recipe!
